Friday Night Score: Ryan Adams Tickets

This girl is muy excited. I just scored a pair of Ryan Adams tickets to his concert this Friday at The Buell Theater! I lovelovelove this guy. He's originally from Jacksonville, has recorded solo albums and collaboration albums with The Cardinals, The Counting Crows, Weezer, Norah Jones, Minnie Driver and tons of other acts. He's married to Mandy Moore - lucky girl - and released an album recently - Ashs and Fire - last October. I can't WAIT to see this show!

The Jayhawks Are Coming! The Jayhawks Are Coming!

That's right folks, The Jayhawks are taking the Ogden Theater by storm on FRIDAY NIGHT! This Minneapolis based group was created in the mid-80s and play alternative country and rock music. Their most recent album, "Mockingbird Time", is sure to be the centerpoint of this show. I AM SO PUMPED. I love that they mostly play at small venues when they're not playing at festivals (personally, festivals are not my thing). This show is GA - so get there early with your Jayhawks tickets to get the best spot! And just for ya'll: a little Jayhawks love below:

This Week on the SCENE: Big Gigantic and Brad Paisley

Playing FOUR shows this week, local group Big Gigantic will be playing Wednesday in Aspen, Thurdsay in Ft. Collins, Friday in Boulder and Saturday in Denver. WHEW! What a list. I've never been to see them before, but judging by their performance on NYE in Chicago, they have a pretty unique sound (that incorporates a lot of saxophone and techno beats) and a sweet light show. As a country fan, I have to say I'm SUPER excited for this Saturday night when Brad Paisley takes the stage at the Pepsi Center. I personally can't wait to hear TICKS played live. But you know, that's just me.
